Soon it’s Rétromobile !

On 1 February, the doors of Rétromobile Paris will reopen. After a cancellation in 2021 and a postponed covid edition in 2022, we will be back to a normal edition this year.

What can we expect? 2023 will mark 100 years since the 24 Hours of Le Mans were first run. An exhibition of racing cars from this period will be one of the highlights of the show.

There is another anniversary with 60 years of “Porsche 911”. And it doesn’t stop there as motorbike enthusiasts are not forgotten either with the centenary of the Dollar brand. It sounds American but it is still a French brand.

Volkswagen, along with the launch of its new ID Buzz, puts all those its ancestors in the spotlight and Citroën, in collaboration with Pathé and Tresors Films, presents a kind of Gallic chariot in the shape of its 2 CV that could have come straight out of the comics of Asterix and Obelix.

Rétromobile is obviously a home match for the French who, then with Renault, Peugeot and Citroën, always put their best foot forward.

After Coronna and Brexit, the major UK classic-car dealers will also make their appearance again. These traditionally provide spectacular stands. As every year, there is also Artcurial’s auction with a Ferrari 250 LM Berlinetta as the top item.

Rétromobile goes on from February 1 to 5 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles in pavilions 1, 2,2 & 3 and is definitely worth a visit. You’ll always come across a car ( or something else ) there that you won’t find anywhere else. All further information can be found on their website: www.retromobile.com
