Interclassics Brussels coming soon

From Friday 18 to Sunday 20 November 2022, Classic Car Show Brussels will mark the 75th anniversary of the world’s most famous sports car manufacturer, Ferrari.

Besides this milestone, the 7th edition of the fair will also highlight the unique relationship of Belgium and the “Scuderia”. Back in 1952, the Belgian privateer Ecurie Francorchamps was at the start of Le Mans and many F1 races with its distinctive yellow Ferraris. InterClassics, in collaboration with Autoworld Brussels, will present the Italian marque’s masterpieces.

After two turbulent covid years in which more events were cancelled than could be held due to the many restrictions, it is a relief for the organisers to be able to go big again.

The Ferrari on the afiche is a 250 GT SWB with number 59, just as it was used by Ecurie Francorchamps in 1962. After a bad accident in 1962, the car was sold on to American actor James Coburn, who we know from The Great Escape, among other things. Fortunately, this Ferrari with chassis number 2445GT has been fully restored and can regularly be admired at circuits such as Le Mans Classic and Goodwood Revival.
