Interclassics Brussels, a top edition!

Interclassics Brussel

The 10th edition of InterClassics Brussels took place from 14 to 16 November 2025. We would like to take you on a tour of this anniversary edition.

Interclassics Brussel

From day one, this edition is making history with the best opening day ever. During this anniversary edition, InterClassics is not only putting the iconic V12 engine in the spotlight, but also presenting a Formula 1 exhibition in honour of 75 years of F1.

BEHVA & Thomas More

Interclassics Brussel

Behva’s stand introduced a technical programme for the first time, in which driving schools and students (in this case, the Thomas More school) worked on classic cars live on the exhibition floor. This ranged from reupholstering the interior to overhauling an engine. It was good to see that young people are still interested in mobile heritage.

Formule 1

F1 enthusiasts were in their element at the Officina Caira stand. Rarely have we seen such a large and impressive selection of F1 cars at a classic car event such as Interclassics. Above, we see the BMW Sauber F1.08, which was driven in 2008 by the team of Nick Heidfeld and Robert Kubica. Both achieved second place in 2008, once in Melbourne and once in Malaysia.

The March 761 shown above was a Formula 1 racing car designed by Robin Herd of March Engineering for the 1976 season, which was still in use in 1977. The main driver was Vittorio Brambilla. Arturo Merzario also apparently drove this March, after which he started his own team with his own car. In the 2018 article in Classic Days, we see Arturo at work.

Above we see the beautifully coloured Talbot Lago T26C. A monoposto (Formula 1) Grand Prix racing car with a 4.5L 6-cylinder engine delivering 260 hp. Originally a works racing car, driven by drivers such as Martin, Chaboud, Rosier and Trintignant in 1952.

Above we see the current Sauber from the KICK Sauber F1 Team. The team had a productive start to the weekend of the Australian Grand Prix, with two trouble-free practice sessions at Albert Park. Nico Hulkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto are this year’s Sauber drivers. More information is available on the Sauber website.

We believe that Officina Caira truly deserved the award for best stand.

Successful edition

In total, InterClassics Brussels will once again bring together more than 800 cars and over 300 exhibitors at Brussels Expo this year.

And those exhibitors can certainly look back on this edition with satisfaction. Not only were there more visitors than ever before, but this also translated into direct sales. We saw more “sold” signs than ever before.

V12 Supercars

The V12 theme appeals to the imagination! For many years now, we have seen constant downsizing in engines, making a car with a V12 a real exception.

In the Patio, special attention was paid to the V12 theme, and we saw a whole line-up ranging from a pre-war Lagonda V12 Le Mans Works Team Car from 1939 to an Aston Martin Valkyrie.

The exhibitors capitalised on this, as we observed signs everywhere near the vehicles equipped with a V12 engine. It was impossible to miss.

Awards

At this year’s awards ceremony, the most prestigious award, Best of Show, went to the 1973 Ferrari 365 GTS/4 at the Gipimotor stand. But as is customary every year, awards were presented in many categories. Above, we see a Renault Alpine that won “Best of the 70s”. Below, you can see a few of them, such as this BMW at the CCP Limburg stand. It received the award for Best Club Car.

Below you can see the Jaguar E-Type at the AnMark Classic stand, which was awarded the title of best restoration. The car now looked even better than when it first left the Jaguar factory.

Art

There was a striking amount of art this year, ranging from paintings and airbrushing to photography and sculpture. Above, you can see Schilderij van Hes at work. She usually works on commission, so if you want to immortalise your classic on canvas, she is the person to contact.

Do you prefer paintbrush? Then you should check out JR Brush, because they also create real works of art.

Miniatures, memorabilia, and books.

In our opinion, the range of miniatures, memorabilia, and books was noticeably more extensive than last year. Collectors could really indulge themselves here.

Spare parts

Whether you are looking for a carburettor, connecting rods, a gearbox or a complete engine, there is more than enough choice. Most tools are also available in abundance at the various stands.

Curiosities

Rarities do not always have to be extremely expensive; sometimes you come across a car like this Subaru XT 4WD Turbo K6 that is still as good as new. The XT had an aluminium boxer engine with turbo, four-wheel drive and four independent wheels. It even had electronically adjustable air suspension. With a CX value of 0.29, it was one of the most streamlined cars of its time. And to top it all off, this XT has only 12,000 original kilometres on the clock.

Watches

Cars and watches always seem to be a good combination. Several brands were therefore present at Interclassics Brussels, all with a link to the automotive industry.

Conclusion

With 29,472 visitors, the motor show set a new record. ‘Compared to last year, that’s almost 29% more visitors and 10% more than our best edition,’ says show manager Erik Panis. “In addition to the considerable public interest, there is also continued satisfaction among our exhibitors, with many cars changing hands. This year, we celebrated the 75th anniversary of Formula 1 and the V12s took centre stage. The latter translated into a fine selection of Hyper and Supercars, which attracted a noticeable increase in younger visitors this year,” Panis continues. Due to the success of the Supercars, organiser MECC Maastricht has decided to set up a special Supercars foyer during the upcoming edition of InterClassics Maastricht (from 15 to 18 January at MECC Maastricht).
